Q. 1: How are Devpran's idols different from ordinary idols in the market?

A: Most idols available in the market are merely beautiful decorative items. Each idol available at Devpran undergoes a 7-day scriptural mobile Pran-Pratishtha ritual performed by our experienced Vedic acharyas before being sent to your home. This infuses the idol with direct divine energy.

Q. 2: What is included in the 7-day Pran-Pratishtha process?

A: This ritual consists of 7 days of scriptural Vedic ceremonies:

  1. Sankalp and Dev-Avahan (Vow and Invocation of the Deity)
  2. Jaladhivas (Dwelling in the water of sacred rivers)
  3. Annadhivas (Dwelling in grains)
  4. Pushpadhivas (Dwelling in fresh flowers)
  5. Phaladhivas (Dwelling in seasonal fruits)
  6. Vastradhivas (Infusion of energy through silk clothes)
  7. Netronmeelan and Pran-Pratishtha (Opening of eyes and establishment of life force through chanting)

Q. 3: How will I know that my idol has truly undergone Pran-Pratishtha?

A: With each idol, we send a Vedic Consecration Certificate (Certificate of Authenticity) signed by our revered Acharya ji, which contains the date and details of the ritual.

Q. 4: After receiving the idol, will I have to perform Pran-Pratishtha again at home?

A: No! Your idol comes already consecrated with the complete Vedic ritual. You only need to respectfully welcome the deity into your home temple according to our provided Sthapana Guide (Installation Guide).

2. Orders & Delivery

Q. 5: How many days will it take for me to receive my order?

A: Since a special 7-day ritual is performed for each idol, followed by 1-2 days of secure packaging, it takes a total of 10 to 14 business days from order placement to delivery.

Q. 6: Is there a risk of the idol breaking during courier?

A: Not at all. We use premium multi-layer thermocol, bubble wrap, and sturdy box packaging to ensure the safe delivery of the idols. Full care is taken for the safety and sanctity of the idol during transit.

Q. 7: What if the idol is damaged during courier?

A: If the parcel is found damaged at the time of delivery, please make an Unboxing Video while opening the parcel. Inform us within 24 to 48 hours via WhatsApp (+91 8882067455) or email (info@devpran.com). We will send you a new consecrated idol at no additional charge.

3. Payment & Policies

Q. 8: Will I have to pay Shipping Charges separately?

A: No, Devpran offers Free Shipping on all prepaid orders across India.

Q. 9: Can I cancel the order?

A: You can cancel the order within 24 hours of placing it. After this, a vow for the consecration of your idol is taken by the Vedic acharyas, so canceling the order after 24 hours will not be possible.

4. Care & Daily Worship

Q. 10: How to care for and clean a consecrated idol?

A: To maintain the purity of the idol:

  • Clean it only with a soft and dry cotton/silk cloth.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, Pitambari (a brass polish), or excessive direct water to protect the golden carvings and colors.
  • (Note: If you have a Black Stone Shivling, daily water and milk anointing can be performed on it.)
